Women with Rhythm

Cindy Goldberg is an Ottawa, Canada, based-drummer and filmmaker, traveling across the United States and Canada to film female drummers in her upcoming documentary Beat Keepers: Women with Rhythm, the first feature-length film of its kind. A few years ago, she filmed a short documentary on the same subject titled Keeping the Beat. Goldberg introduced Angie to the Beat Keepers: Women with Rhythm community!

Response to Current Events:

“What we’re seeing right now, in a time of uncertainty and social isolation—people are really seeking out music as a way to still make that signal that we still care about each other. We still want to move together." - Karen Loew, The Atlantic.

"As a woman of color, I am so grateful to be in a band that makes me feel safe and respected during this difficult time - and all the time. I love you ladies." -- Angie, the drummer. Music is our expression and AG is determined to keep making music together, in unity.

AG in the Studio

Our First Album

AG will be recording ourselves! We are working on building our own studio that puts the artist first! No more men interfering with our vision, hitting on us, or intimidating us in their spaces. We are learning engineering, producing, mixing, and mastering for our first release. We know, it’s hard. We’re up for the challenge. With the help of borrowed gear and ProTools, we can do this.
